The New York Giants have a decision to make in the upcoming NFL Draft.
There are rumors of the team not being sold on Daniel Jones, which should be far from a surprise at this point.
That’s why former NFL GM Mike Tannenbaum believes they should look to get J.J. McCarthy.
“J.J. McCarthy’s a better football player than Daniel Jones today, let alone what his ceiling could be,” Tannenbaum said.

Talking on ESPN’s Get UP, he claimed that between turnovers, sacks, and durability, McCarthy is a better player today than Jones, and his ceiling is clearly higher.
He also thinks the Arizona Cardinals should look to get McCarthy, as that would allow them to move on from Kyler Murray, who’s making a lot of money and hasn’t played a full season in three years.
McCarthy has been a polarizing subject for months now.
Some thought he was a second-round talent, and he’s now projected to be a top-five pick in some mocks.
Others think that regardless of his ceiling and talent, he might not be ready to contribute right out of the gate.
Perhaps, the truth is somewhere in between.
What does seem like a fact is that the Giants would be wise to consider all their options at quarterback.
Jones’s best season wasn’t that impressive, and he’s failed to stay on the field.
Their offense looked significantly better with Tyrod Taylor and undrafted rookie QB Tommy DeVito, and that should speak volumes about Jones’ play and prospect as their quarterback for the future.
Now, whether they’ll get McCarthy or not, especially if he keeps climbing on the board, remains to be seen.
