The New York Giants might be in the market for a new franchise quarterback.
There have been reports and rumors about the team not being sold on Daniel Jones for the long run.
Given the way he performed last season, it wouldn’t be shocking to see them go in a different direction.
With that in mind, former NFL GM Mike Tannenbaum came up with a rather interesting proposal.
Talking on ESPN’s Get Up, he claimed the Giants could and should offer to send a 2024 first-round pick (No. 6), a 2024 second-round pick, a 2025 first-round pick, a 2025 second-round pick, and young DE Kayvon Thibodeaux to the Chicago Bears in return for the No. 1 pick.

That way, they would be able to get USC star QB Caleb Williams with that selection.
Needless to say, losing a young and promising pass rusher like Thibodeaux as well as that much draft capital would be a big blow for the Giants, but Williams is expected to be a generational kind of talent.
The Giants already have a solid defense in play, and their offense did show signs of life when Jones was out with injuries.
Even so, given the way the Chicago Bears have operated, it’s hard to think they’re going to move on from the No. 1 pick in back-to-back seasons, especially considering they might not be that high on Justin Fields anymore.
