One of the most anticipated games of Week 14 will be the divisional showdown between the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers at Ford Field, with this game’s outcome having NFC North division implications.
Although the Lions have been arguably the best team in the NFC this season and were able to beat the Packers on the road at Lambeau Field by 10 in their last meeting earlier this season, Green Bay comes into this game having won three straight since that loss to Detroit while being prepared to make a statement against their division rivals.
The Lions are currently favored by three heading into this matchup in Detroit, which makes sense considering the team’s dominance over the course of this 2024 campaign, but former NFL head coach Chuck Pagano believes it will be the Packers coming out on top with injuries piling up for Dan Campbell’s squad via The Pat McAfee Show.
“This is gonna be a tight-*** game tonight, and I’m gonna go with the Green Bay Packers,” Pagano said. “I’m not going to be surprised. I think there’s just too many injuries on Detroit.”

Despite the injuries Detroit is currently dealing with, mainly on the defensive side of the football, the Lions are, without a doubt, the better all-around team compared to the Packers at this point in the season.
However, Pagano might be on to something that is a breaking point for Detroit, where those injuries start to take a toll on the team’s production on the field, and that might come against a hungry Packers squad led by rising star Jordan Love.
