If you watched Monday night’s big game between the Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks, you saw a lot of amazing things.
You saw Giannis Antetokounmpo once again command the floor, you saw Jayson Tatum nail incredible shots and show how valuable he is, and you also saw one very important veteran absolutely dominating.
That’s right, Al Horford of the Celtics was on fire Monday night.

NBA analyst and former player Kendrick Perkins took note of Horford’s power and spread joy and love about the big man on Twitter.
“Big Al Horford showing the NBA that VETS MATTER!!! Straight Up,” Perkins said on Twitter.
What led to such an explosive performance from Horford?
Huge Horford
Horford was good from just about anywhere on the floor on Monday night.
He ended the game with 30 points and 8 rebounds and shot 5-from-7 from beyond the three-point arc.
Horford was a major threat, even against guys 15 years younger than him.
The big man is nearly 36 years old and yet he was still cleaning up the floor all night and played for 41 minutes.
Horford understood the assignment and he delivered again and again throughout the night.
The team needed him more than ever on Monday because they were missing center Robert Williams III, who is out with a sore knee.
Williams has become a very big part of the team’s offense and defense so there were serious concerns that losing him could lead to a loss.
Horford wasn’t having that and he stepped up in a huge way.
The Celtics evened the series on Monday and are now 2-2 as the team heads back to Boston for Game 5.
That hometown crowd is going to welcome Horford home as the hero he is.
