Even though he was never the best shooting guard in the NBA — mostly because of Kobe Bryant’s presence, few people could argue that Dwyane Wade isn’t, at worst, a top-10 player in that position in the history of this game.
Wade competed hard on both ends of the floor.
He could play lockdown defense and then put up 27 with five dimes on the other end of the floor.
Regardless, former NBA player Jeff Teague believes he shouldn’t sit at the same table as James Harden.
In the latest edition of Club520 Podcast, the former Atlanta Hawks guard pointed out the fact that Wade always had elite teammates like Shaquille O’Neal or LeBron James when he won those championships, adding that the Heat were ‘trash’ when Wade was on his own (via The Score).

Needless to say, Harden is one of the all-time greatest scorers, and he was an offensive juggernaut of his own when he was in his prime.
Then again, he also has a long history of underperforming in the postseason, and he’s also played with a plethora of stellar talents throughout the course of his career, such as Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, Russell Westbrook, Chris Paul, and Joel Embiid.
Also, Wade’s prime was longer, and he was always more durable than Harden, who’s struggled with injuries over the past couple of years.
Even so, they’re different players and everybody’s entitled to their opinion, but even taking those three championships out of the equation, it still seems like Wade was slightly better.
