Earlier this week, NBA superstar LeBron James and his family got some sad news, with his son Bronny collapsing in practice for the USC Trojans.
Bronny suffered a cardiac arrest while practicing with his team, resulting in a very scary situation for him, his family, and the school, as no one knew why the event had occurred with the young basketball star seemingly in good health.
Ultimately, Bronny was sent to the hospital to get things taken care of and was out of the ICU reasonably quick, which is obviously a good sign, but concerns linger.
During an appearance on the “I AM ATHLETE” podcast, former NBA star Stephen Jackson was asked about the incident with Bronny and couldn’t help but get emotional as a father with sons.
“The last thing you wanna do is see your child go through something like that. I’ve been praying for the James family.”

Bronny has made a lot of headlines over the last few years, with his father frequently posting highlights of his basketball games on his social media accounts and hyping up his son as a future NBA star.
LeBron has also said on many different occasions that he fully intends to play alongside his son on the NBA level once he’s drafted, which was expected to be as early as next year if he had success playing for USC.
With this recent health scare, it remains to be seen if Bronny’s basketball career has been put in jeopardy, as it may not be safe for him to pursue a career on the professional level.
