The Brooklyn Nets have wrapped up their preseason games and are now ready for the season tip-off later this month.
One key takeaway from the preseason is the improvement in Ben Simmons’ form.
The three-time NBA All-Star seemingly lost his touch over the last two seasons for a variety of reasons.
But so far, he has looked in fine touch and could have a redemption season.
Speaking of Simmons, former NBA champion Matt Barnes shared his expectations for him for the new season via Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson on Twitter.
Ben Simmons averaging 15 points, 5 rebounds & 5 assists might make the internet shut up!
“I hope so,” @Matt_Barnes22 tells @Bovada_Casino of @BenSimmons25.

Simmons has struggled with both mental and physical health over the last couple of seasons.
While he received a lot of backlash from fans for his underwhelming seasons, he may silence his critics with a comeback season.
After all, he proved his worth to fans during the early years of his NBA career.
Barnes expects Simmons to reach his previous form and average at least 15 points per game this season.
As per Barnes, these numbers will be more than enough to keep Simmons’ doubters away.
Last season, Simmons played just 42 games, averaging 6.9 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 6.1 assists per game for the Nets.
It was statistically the worst season of Simmons’ young NBA career.
However, Simmons is not getting discouraged by the amount of burden on his shoulders.
If anything, he is more confident in himself than ever before.l.
