The Los Angeles Lakers have had more NBA legends than any other franchise in league history.
Making a good impression in Los Angeles isn’t as easy as it is somewhere else, and having some former team legends tipping their hats off to you is something just a handful of guys have been able to accomplish.
Unsurprisingly, LeBron James is one of those few privileged.
That was evident again in A.C. Green’s talk with Brandon ‘Scoop B’ Robinson, as the league’s true Iron Man gushed over LeBron’s longevity.
LeBron James came to NBA with expectations like Victor Wembanyama and is still producing at age 38 & Rob Pelinka also deserves praise for the Lakers offseason notes AC Green on Scoop B Selects.

Green — who had a streak of playing in 1,192 games in a row — claimed to be in awe with the fact that James was able to live up to those unmatched expectations he had when he first entered the league.
Moreover, he’s impressed at the fact that he’s been able to play at such a high level for that much time, which is perhaps the most impressive part about his longevity.
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Dirk Nowitzki, Tim Duncan, and Kobe Bryant were all able to put up decent numbers as their careers faded, but none of them were able to get those video game-like averages LeBron James has.
And while he’s obviously not the same player anymore and it showed in the playoffs, the sole fact that he’s still a starter logging 35+ minutes a night speaks volumes of his longevity.
James is aiming for Vince Carter’s record for most seasons played in NBA history, and — with all due respect to Carter — Carter could barely play when he walked away from the league.
