The Memphis Grizzlies were hoping for an offseason of no controversy.
But once again All-Star guard Ja Morant is in the news for the wrong reasons.
It has been announced that Morant has been suspended from all team activities after he allegedly flashed a gun on Instagram Live.
This is the second time Morant has allegedly been seen with a gun.
The last time was during the season when he was suspended for eight games.
Now one former NBA player thinks Morant should be suspended the entire 23-24 season.
According to NBA Central, Chandler Parsons thinks Morant should be punished for all of next year.

This is awful news for the Grizzlies and another show of poor judgment for Morant.
He keeps putting himself in bad positions and continues to put his NBA career in jeopardy.
At some point, the league will not continue to put up with the off-court issues.
If the NBA investigation concludes Morant was holding a gun, then he will have to be reprimanded.
It will have to be a lengthy suspension into next season, and one that could derail the Grizzlies.
Memphis has been the two-seed in the West each of the past two seasons.
But they have nothing to show for it.
It is clear Morant did not learn his lesson from the first incident.
Therefore, the league will have to make sure he is aware that his actions are unacceptable.
This will be an interesting situation to watch as we head into the NBA offseason.
