The Los Angeles Dodgers won their eighth World Series title in franchise history after finishing the season with a record of 98-64 and winning the National League West for the third consecutive year.
After winning the title, the Dodgers wasted no time in adding more talent this offseason as they have made multiple moves to improve their team for 2025.
Some notable acquisitions include Blake Snell, Roki Sasaki, and Tanner Scott.
Former GM Jim Bowden revealed his thoughts on the Scott signing by the Dodgers.
“This is a huge deal for the Dodgers,” Bowden said via MLB Network Radio on Sirius XM.

Bowden mentions that Scott is arguably one of the best left-handed closers in all of Major League Baseball, which is a valid argument when looking at his numbers.
In 2024 with the San Diego Padres and Miami Marlins, Scott appeared in 72 games and held a record of 9-6 with a 1.75 ERA, 22 saves, and 84 strikeouts in 72.0 innings pitched.
The Dodgers have added a Cy Young Award-winning starting pitcher in Snell, a likely future Cy Young candidate starting pitcher in Sasaki, and now one of the most dominant relief pitchers in the game.
Although the Dodgers have eight World Series titles, they have never won back-to-back titles in franchise history, but they will try to change that in 2025.
With the moves made thus far by the Dodgers, it appears like they will be favorites to win the World Series next season, and it will likely all depend on staying healthy.
The Dodgers will also look for their fourth straight NL West title and their 12th in the last 13 seasons.
