The Philadelphia 76ers are reportedly looking to trade James Harden, but that doesn’t mean they’ll just give him away.
Contrary to what people expected, Harden showed up to training camp willing to work and prove his worth, and according to Patrick Beverley, he’s been “phenomenal,” giving advice to other players and has looked to be in great shape, adding that he’s always in the weight room.
Notably, Beverley had former Sixers owner Michael Rubin on his podcast, and he had a blunt response when asked his thoughts on the Harden situation.

Rubin stated that he loves Harden like a brother, so he wouldn’t have allowed this to happen in the first place.
He also said that people often give Harden a bad time because he likes to party and have fun, but they don’t know just how badly he wants to win and how much work he puts in.
Rubin also said that he often blocks the outside noise when it comes to Harden because he knows how much basketball means to him and his work ethic.
Truth be told, that’s not the way the media has portrayed him.
At the end of the day, it’s highly unlikely that Harden will ever be able to change the narrative around him, at least at this point in his career.
But no one can take anything from him, as he was once one of the most unstoppable scorers in the game.
