If the Los Angeles Lakers wish to start winning games this season, they will need to work on a lot.
Their team still doesn’t always perform cohesively and it still feels like they are a bunch of disconnected players attempting to work as one unit.
Additionally, their defense is often slow and a few steps behind opponents.
Of course, they are injury-prone and already missing two players as well.
But the biggest thing slowing the Lakers down at the start of this season is their inability to actually shoot the ball well.

Yes, a team needs to actually make baskets in this game of basketball and LA is failing spectacularly in that regard.
The team has been horrible from every part of the floor, especially beyond the three-point line.
They have landed about 25% of all their threes during the first two games and no player for LA has been consistent.
This is leading many fans to fondly remember past players, like Danny Green, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Kyle Kuzma, and Alex Caruso.
A few of those stars received a lot of hate from fans during their time in Los Angeles.
But with the Lakers hurting so badly on offense, they are all greatly missed.
Airball After Airball
The team showed some promise on Thursday night in their loss to the Los Angeles Clippers.
The defense was better than it has been in some time and they had some good energy too.
If only they were able to shoot well.
The lack of quality shots is concerning even after just two games.
There is just no way for the team to get far this season unless they improve.
LeBron James told the press that the team isn’t composed of great shooters.
That is true, but the front office can’t just accept that fact and hope that it changes.
The Lakers will need to do something – maybe something drastic – if they hope to get things moving.
