The Arizona Cardinals made headlines during Week 3 of the NFL season, surprisingly beating the Dallas Cowboys.
After this unlikely victory, the Cardinals headed into a new week with confidence, poised to take a crack at one of the NFC’s best teams.
While they might have been confident entering this game, it was the San Francisco 49ers who had the last laugh.
Brock Purdy led the 49ers to a 35-16 victory, bringing the Cardinals back down to earth.
Despite the loss, the Cardinals once again made headlines, this time, for a different reason.
As shown by the below video shared by FOX Sports NFL, James Conner and Talanoa Hufonga got into a small fight after the game.

While it is not uncommon for bad blood to be present within divisional rivals, this small skirmish caused quite the scene.
It is a rarity for something of this magnitude to occur in today’s NFL, especially after the game has already taken place.
After this fight, fans of both teams took to Twitter to express their feelings about the situation.
James Conner a really good person, must have taken a lot to get him this mad because I’ve never seen him this hot.

Embarrassment for both teams 💯

I’m a big Niner fan, but I’m pretty sure Huf threw a lil extra elbow/body weight into Dobbs neck after a play. Maybe it’s about that.

Completely wrong & gives NFL a really bad look 🤦. NFL needs to hand down a suspension on both players. #NFL

Fan comments were varied on the fight, as some believed this warrants a suspension, while others thought it was warranted.
Either way, this small battle between Hufonga and Conner has taken the internet by storm.
Given the amount of media attention and fan interaction there has been with this video, the NFL might do something to one, if not both of these players.
Only time will tell, as suspensions and fines are typically doled out in the weeks to come for situations like this.
