Los Angeles Lakers head coach Darvin Ham wasn’t exempt from criticism during the Lakers’ first-round series.
Some decisions weren’t welcomed by a lot of fans who instantly called him out.
After Friday night’s game, the waters calmed and Ham was everybody’s favorite in Lakers Nation again.
Following this game, Skip Bayless shared a tweet talking about Ham’s job and the fans giving it back to him.
I guess Twitter has given Darvin Ham his job back.

Many others reacted to this, some criticizing the first-year head coach for making adjustments a little too late and others explaining why Ham did what he did.
Lol this what you do when you can’t criticize Bron 🤣🤣🤣

Or they wanted to close this at home in-front of their crowd.

Yes, because he finally got the ball out of Ja Morants hands. Double him and make the others beat you. Happened 5 games too late

Taking Anthony Davis out of the game in Game 5 wasn’t met with good eyes by a lot of fans, and Ham was put on a blast for that decision.
The Grizzlies took off after that decision and demolished the Lakers.
In Game 6, Ham played chess and it worked, putting Davis at the five and then subbing him out for Wenyen Gabriel in the second quarter, which worked wonders for the Lakers.
Davis put up a strong performance, recording 26 blocks during the series, achieving something historical.
After the season started in a terrible way, Ham and the front office made some changes and created a competitive team.
They are now headed into the second round of the postseason, waiting for the Golden State Warriors or Sacramento Kings.
Nobody thought the Lakers would have been at this stage before the season started, let alone playing high-level basketball.
The Purple and Gold could shock the world this season and win it all.
Ham remains ambitious and that could work wonders for him and his team soon.
