The Carolina Panthers made a massive trade to move up to first overall to select Alabama quarterback Bryce Young.
He was worthy of the first pick and has the potential to be a star in Carolina.
But, the Panthers have to put him in a position to succeed.
That means giving him good receivers to throw to, and a strong offensive line to protect him.
Also, it would be wise for the Panthers to get Young on the field as quickly as possible.
According to Pro Football Talk, the Panthers have “no timeline” for playing their top pick.
The Panthers have "no timeline" for playing Bryce Young. Until he's ready, Andy Dalton is once again "QB1." https://t.co/ka4t8q24Tg

For the Panthers to select him first overall and not play him seems outrageous.
Even though they have veteran Andy Dalton on their roster, he should not play over Young.
Dalton is an experienced starter, and he can help teach Young the ropes.
Andy is there to teach. He won’t be QB1 for long.

Some NFL fans seem to believe that Young learning behind Dalton may not be the best move for Carolina.
Picking at #1 you would think he would be the day 1 starter. Also is Andy dalton the best guy for him to learn from? I know he’s been in the league a long time and that benefits. But think it benefits more from him starting day 1

We all know the Panther fans will be clamoring for Young to be their starter.
Plus, it is hard to believe that Dalton will give them the best chance to win.
That boy better be starting week 1. Tickets and merch too high lol. https://t.co/q4ejsFRSz7

Young will be the most hyped Panther since they took Cam Newton first overall back in 2011.
Once we get through all the offseason workouts and training camp, it would be hard to believe that Young does not win this job.
Rookie Minicamp hasn’t happened. OTAs. Training camp. Literally y’all are bored https://t.co/BK3VX1l8I7

Carolina has their quarterback of the future, and the best way for him to learn is by being on the field.
