The Dallas Mavericks are having a rough season, with Luka Doncic on the verge of potentially missing the NBA playoffs.
Even though the team made a blockbuster trade for Kyrie Irving before February’s NBA trade deadline, the team has failed to live up to expectations, as Dallas continues to limp toward the finish line.
On Tuesday, Doncic was asked about his former teammate Jalen Brunson, who now plays for the New York Knicks.
Doncic didn’t hold back, admitting to missing playing with Brunson in Dallas.
Luka Doncic is asked how much the Mavericks miss Jalen Brunson:
"A lot. Amazing guy, amazing player."

With Knicks fans desperate for a superstar to root for over the years, the New York faithful unsurprisingly got excited at the prospect of Doncic potentially playing in the Big Apple.
The Knicks have done well this season, with the storied NBA franchise returning to the playoff picture.
Julius Randle and Brunson have proven to be a lethal one-two punch for New York, with the team clinching a playoff spot and currently sitting in the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference with a record of 46-33.
The Mavericks, however, are five games below .500 at 37-42 and will likely miss the postseason entirely if they can’t catch the Oklahoma City Thunder, who are a full game ahead of them.
As if missing the playoffs after reaching the Western Conference Finals last season wasn’t bad enough, the team may lose Irving to NBA free agency this summer, as he intends to test the open market.
Doncic and the Mavericks aren’t in a good place right now, with an uncertain future ahead.
