The New York Knicks are in a bad spot in their second-round matchup with the Miami Heat.
They trail 3-1 and need a miracle to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals.
Miami has seemingly out-hustled the Knicks all series, and that is a big reason for their series advantage.
After Game 4, Knicks forward Julius Randle made an interesting comment.
Randle said, referring to the Heat, “Maybe they want it more.”

That is not the type of attitude you want one of your best players to have.
New York thrived in getting offensive rebounds and loose balls throughout their first-round series win against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
But, that has not been the case against Miami.
Even though the Knicks trail 3-1, they are not out yet.
They need to pick themselves up and find a way to win one game at a time.

Randle probably should have handled this question differently instead of seemingly calling out his entire team.
horrible answer

His answer makes it seem like the Knicks are done.
If Randle is going to have this attitude, it will be hard for him to get up for Game 5.
The Heat probably see this response and realize they have them just where they want them.
Oof.. can’t be having an attitude like that. Heat got this now.

For the season, Randle averaged a career-high 25.1 points while adding 10.0 rebounds per game.
He will need to play with effort and intensity in Game 5 to keep the Knicks’ season alive.
It will be interesting to see how the team responds to this comment from Randle.
