The Denver Nuggets are off to a fast start in the Western Conference Finals.
Entering as the number one seed they got the first two games at home, and they protected home-court.
Taking the 2-0 series lead is great news, but they still have work to do.
One player that has been great through the first two games is Nuggets point guard Jamal Murray.
He is averaging 34.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 5.0 assists so far in the series.
Despite his play, Murray still thinks he is disrespected around the league.
According to NBA on ESPN, Murray said: “I don’t think I get enough respect as I should be.”

Murray was injured for the 2021-22 season and missed the entire year.
Also, playing in Denver where many of their games are not nationally televised makes it difficult.
Even Nikola Jokic is still underrated because he plays in Denver.
But, we are seeing the best of Murray and Jokic in this postseason.
Many fans believe Murray deserves plenty more respect.

Yet some people may be waiting for Murray and the Nuggets to win a championship before giving him respect.
If they win the title it’s correct he will be viewed differently

Despite having the best record in the Western Conference, not many people picked Denver to win the conference.
Yet, they are only two wins away from accomplishing that.
Some fans want to see Murray do more in the regular season before they crown him a star.

The 26-year-old has never made an All-Star team.
But he has raised his game in the playoffs in recent years.
Murray and the Nuggets look for real, but they still have more work to do to reach their ultimate goal.
