Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzlies is facing a “significant suspension.”
Those are the words of NBA guru Brian Windhorst, who touched upon the league’s upcoming punishment for the troubled star on Friday’s Get Up.
NBA Commissioner Adam Silver spoke about Morant and the consequences for again showing off a gun on a live stream recently.
He didn’t get into the details of those consequences but he made it clear that they were coming soon after the Finals conclude.

Windhorst’s insight into the situation had fans talking on Friday morning.
Nearly everyone agrees that Morant is about to spend a lot of time away from his team in the 2023-24 season.
Some people even predicted that the entire year was going to be off-limits for Morant.
He’s going to be out for the season

There were many people who said that the NBA was taking this situation very seriously if there is a chance that they’d sideline one of their biggest stars for so long.
Silver isn’t messing around for sure if he’s willing to do this with one of their most marketable players

Silver received his fair share of praise for doing the right thing and forcing Morant to pay for what he has done.
Has to be. Kudos to the commish for waiting

However, some people were a bit peeved by the way that Silver is making all fans wait for the official announcement, comparing it to an end credits scene from a Marvel film.
They weren’t happy with the commissioner’s tease of what’s to come.
Adam Silver treating Ja’s incoming suspension like the post credit scene in a MCU movie, bro is like “wait in your seat til the finals are over”

Since the reactions to Silver’s statement on Thursday were so spirited, you can only imagine how much emotion and opinion will revolve around the actual suspension.
We won’t have to wait too soon to find out what fate awaits Morant.
The NBA will announce its decision shortly after the Finals end.
No matter what happens, these responses prove that the league will make serious waves.NEXT: Shannon Sharpe Has A Clear Expectation About Ja Morant Punishment
