The San Antonio Spurs and its fans got a glimpse of the full Victor Wembanyama experience over the weekend.
His debut wasn’t that encouraging, but he followed that underwhelming performance with one that turned a lot of heads — again.
Wembanyama dominated with 27 points, 12 rebounds, and three blocks, knocking down 64% of his shots and 50% of his attempts from beyond the arc.
Needless to say, that once again led to countless overreactions on social media, with fans taking to Twitter to share their minds on the subject.
He’s getting comfortable. Confidence is key!

Wemby is gonna have "How does this affect Wemby's legacy" meme before the all-star break.

Remember, no player is as good or as bad as he looked during Summer League, and most of those games are pretty much meaningless.
Those aren’t his teammates.
They barely practice together, and most of the players are just looking to earn a roster spot.
Then again, it’s nice to see the No. 1 pick gain some confidence back, as a string of bad performances could get into his head and that’s when Summer League isn’t meaningless anymore.
The narrative and hype around Wembanyama almost make it seem like people are hoping he’s going to put up Wilt Chamberlain-like numbers right out of the gate, and that’s just not realistic.
Rookies go through growing pains and there’s always a learning curve, and not even Wembanyama will be the exception to that rule.
Will he be as good as he was on Sunday night or as shaky as he looked on Friday night during his rookie year?
Maybe, the truth is something in-between.
