As of April 21, Lamar Jackson’s franchise tag is still not signed, leaving the Baltimore Ravens without their starting quarterback.
While fans wait for that decision to be made, they can take solace in the arms of Tyler Huntley, who has recently agreed to return to the team, per Tom Pelissero.
The #Ravens’ Pro Bowl QB isn’t going anywhere:
Snoop Huntley plans to sign his restricted tender Monday, per source.

Although this wasn’t the quarterback news that Ravens fans were expecting, there was significant support for Huntley when this news broke.
As this fan indicates, Huntley’s leadership was instantly noticed.
While Huntley was a backup for the majority of the 2022 season, he is making the most of his offseason, working out with receivers from the team.
Great leadership by Huntley. To my knowledge lamar has only ever worked out with Bateman and that was last off-season. https://t.co/PGGBGDHRNH

Another fan celebrated Huntley, calling him a “Raven for life.”

While many Ravens rejoiced at Huntley’s return to the roster, others were frustrated with the way that Pelissero reported this news.
You need to be arrested for this opening sentence.. https://t.co/2OMMnh8ltk

Fans believed this to be a clickbait introductory sentence, given the fact that Jackson’s contract is still in limbo.
In the photo that Pelissero included in the tweet, the player’s number is hidden, rendering it difficult to first see what player he referred to.
While fans expressed their feelings about Pelissero’s messaging, they are still waiting for a decision from Jackson.
This situation is eerily similar to how Green Bay Packers fans currently feel, given Aaron Rodgers’ predicament with the New York Jets.
When will both of these contract woes be resolved?
