The Milwaukee Bucks made a shocking decision on Thursday when they fired head coach Mike Budenholzer after he had been at the helm of the team for the last five seasons.
The move comes on the heels of their embarrassing first-round playoff loss to the underdog Miami Heat in five games.

But these two fans feel that perhaps it wasn’t right to get rid of Budenholzer.
I think it the wrong thing to do since Milwaukee had critical injuries at the wrong time.

Lol. Wins their 2nd ever championship 2 years ago. Leads them to the 1 seed this year and gets fired. Ya I get they stumbled but man this team has some crazy high standards 🤣

On one hand, Budenholzer was successful in Milwaukee, as he coached them to the NBA championship just two years ago, which was their first title in 50 years.
But the other four seasons were a disappointment.
This season, as well as in the 2018-19 and 2019-20 campaigns, the Bucks had the best record in the league, yet they failed to reach the NBA Finals.
In fact, their championship season in 2021 was the only time they have reached the finals with Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Their loss to the Heat this spring was particularly embarrassing, as they allowed the Heat, who were the league’s lowest-scoring team in the regular season, to average 124 points a game.
The Bucks also had some miscues down the stretch of the Game 5 clincher, which they lost by two points at home.
Now it will be up to another head coach to lead Antetokounmpo and crew to the promised land again.
