New York Knicks‘ star Julius Randle has undergone a procedure on his left ankle, which should allow him to be back at his best after struggling with this injury during the 2022-23 NBA season.
Randle, who was heavily criticized during the playoffs, underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left ankle.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, this procedure will allow Randle to be good to go for the Knicks’ training camp in the fall.

Many fans reacted to this news, with some admitting that Randle didn’t look fully healthy during the playoffs, and others criticizing him for his lack of mental toughness.
For all his flaws on the court, the guy is tough as nails and is an absolute bull. Pumped to have you on the team for a long time, brother

Anyone who watched him play in the playoffs could see he wasn’t right. This solidifies that

The New York Knicks entered this year’s postseason with high expectations, and even though they made it to the second round, many fans thought they could have done more against the Miami Heat.
Randle was on the receiving end of criticism after the series was over, but he never used this injury as an excuse.
Hopefully, he can be healthy all season long next year and help the Knicks compete for bigger things.
This team has a bright future and if Jalen Brunson and Randle keep improving, New York will have plenty of reasons to dream next year.
The Knicks are finally back in contention, and if they land one or two good pieces this offseason, they can go further than the second round.
Randle remains one of their best players. He’s an All-Star that can do a lot for the Knicks, and as long as he remains healthy, his team will stand a chance against any rival.
