The Minnesota Vikings suffered a devastating blow on Sunday.
Quarterback Kirk Cousins tore his Achilles tendon and will miss the rest of the season.
Cousins was playing great football this year and the Vikings were starting to turn their season around.
Minnesota has won three straight games and now sits at 4-4 on the year.
They are back in the playoff picture but things will be difficult for them without Cousins.
Minnesota does not have an experienced backup quarterback on the roster, well at least they did not before Tuesday.
According to Ian Rapoport, the Vikings have traded for Arizona Cardinals quarterback Josh Dobbs.
It helps make up for the loss of Kirk Cousins. And gives MIN a chance… pic.twitter.com/TUEnTemakr

Dobbs have played admirably this year for the Cardinals and the Vikings want him to be their starter.
Minnesota has much better offensive players than the Cardinals.
That should help Dobbs lead this offense and keep the Vikings in the playoff race.
Arizona recently announced that Dobbs was not going to start this upcoming week.
It was clear that was because they planned on trading him.
That makes snese
I figured it would happen after they said he wouldn’t play next week

It will be interesting to see what Dobbs looks like in a better offense.
He now gets to throw the ball to Justin Jefferson (when healthy), Jordan Addison, and T.J. Hockenson.
All of whom are much better than what he had in Arizona.
Dobbs is legit man he deserves a competitive team with those weapons

One spot where Dobbs can excel over Cousins is extending plays.
Dobbs is a dual-threat quarterback who has had plenty of success running the ball this season.

The idea is that he can help keep their season alive and have the Vikings vying for a playoff berth.NEXT: Vikings Defender Shares Team’s Reaction To The Kirk Cousins Injury
