The Indianapolis Colts and star RB Jonathan Taylor finally made amends.
According to a report by Adam Schefter of ESPN, the former rushing champion has reached an agreement on a three-year contract extension worth $42 million, including $26.5 million guaranteed.
That makes him one of the top earners at the running back position and puts an end to a months-long standoff between both parties.
Taylor will now be the first RB to get at least $10 million since Nick Chubb got his contract in 2021, per Schefter.
Needless to say, the fans had plenty to say about this news.

Anthony Richardson & Jonathan Taylor with Shane Steichen will be FUN

Taylor entered the season on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list with a high ankle injury, the same ailment that kept him sidelined and limited last season.
He’s now expected to make his season debut vs. the Tennessee Titans, giving HC Shane Steichen and rookie QB Anthony Richardson another prime weapon for the offense.
The Colts have looked much better than expected early in the season, and that’s even with Richardson missing time thus far with a concussion.
Adding a prime piece like Taylor will only open up more lanes for the prized rookie and his dual-threat skill set.
They’re 2-2 right now, and the race for the top of the AFC South is going to be more interesting and exciting than most of us thought.
