There were plenty of people who were calling Anthony one of the best scorers to ever play.
He truly has made a name for himself as a lights-out shooter who can dominate from all over the court.
During his career, Anthony averaged 22.5 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 2.7 assists on 44.7% from the field and 35.5% from the three-point line.
One of the best pure scorers the NBA has ever seen.

There were many other people who commented on how long they have been watching Anthony play.
First joining the league in 2003, Anthony has gone from a college superstar to one of the most well-known and respected veterans to ever play.
Growing up, watching you and Kobe compete was unforgettable. Two legends.
Cheers to retirement, Melo. 🤝🏼

Anthony has left behind a very strong legacy that will live on among many teams, most notably the Denver Nuggets and New York Knicks.
Many people were hoping they’d see him put on a jersey one more time before retiring but that wasn’t meant to be.
Instead, Anthony can look back with pride on all he achieved and the strong fanbase he created during his many years in the league.
