The Dallas Mavericks are facing the reality of losing Luka Doncic, at least for a little bit of time.
The star player recently injured his wrist and will miss several games as he recovers, according to Shams Charania.

A lot of fans are nervous that the Mavericks will be in horrible shape without Doncic.
Even though he might be gone for just a couple of games, Dallas could fall into a rough spot without him.
Doncic is averaging 28.1 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 7.6 assists per game.

Numerous Mavericks fans feel it is time for Kyrie Irving to step up and lead the team now that Doncic is out.
They also feel that role players will get more opportunities to show off their skills, which could be a huge positive for the Mavericks.

This could be a good thing for the team in the long run so role players get more opportunities ahead of the playoffs.

The good news is that Doncic shouldn’t be gone long.
And this does provide a chance for Irving and other players to gain experience without him.
Losing Doncic is never a great thing but the Mavericks can still find success without him during his limited absence.
