Not only was Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers one of the most important basketball players of all time, but he was also a businessman and involved in multiple major endorsements and partnerships too.
Now, years after his passing, Nike is bringing back his signature brand.
The company took to Twitter to make official what has been rumored for a while: the Kobe Brand is back.

Nike followed that tweet up just moments later with a sneak peek of the newest shoe in the Kobe line.
They promised more details on Thursday, and fans can’t wait.

People were elated to hear that the brand is returning.
Some online said that they have been waiting literal years for this announcement.
There have been rumblings of Nike doing something related to the Kobe line on August 23, which would have been Bryant’s 45th birthday.
Of course, August 24 has now been dubbed “Kobe Day” so that could be a very big week for Nike and the Kobe line of shoes and clothes.

While there is much excitement about Nike’s decision, there is also a bit of fear too.
Many people are afraid that there won’t be enough products to go around and that they will fly off shelves too quickly.
“Don’t make it difficult to obtain them,” said one user.
Don’t make it difficult to obtain then

Others agreed with that sentiment.
Probably unattainable for normal people

And there were many who were pleading with Nike to think beyond shoes and include shirts and socks and shorts with the relaunched brand.
I love the shoes, don’t get me wrong.. but I’m here for some apparel too. Get me in the gym with some black mamba shorts and sleeveless tees

Nike has always promised that they would treat Bryant’s legacy with the utmost respect.
That means they will surely put a lot of thought and care into anything they release in the Kobe line.
More information about these products will be coming soon, including how customers can get their hands on them.
