After missing seven games due to a nagging hamstring injury, Minnesota Vikings superstar wide receiver Justin Jefferson made his return to the field today with hopes of helping his team make a playoff push in the final stretch of the regular season.
With Jefferson being arguably the best wide receiver in the game, along with Tyreek Hill of the Miami Dolphins, he was sorely missed by the Vikings, even though the team was able to go on a spirited five-game win streak during that time.
Unfortunately for Minnesota, Jefferson’s return to the field didn’t last very long, as the superstar wideout was crushed after catching a pass in the middle of the field, which resulted in a chest injury that would knock him out of the game against the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Jefferson was ruled out after getting checked out, leaving the rest of his season in doubt after finally being able to return to action on Sunday.

At this point, it’s unclear whether the Vikings will be able to be playoff-bound, especially if they lose to the Raiders, which would be the team’s third consecutive loss.
Even if this team does make it to the postseason, Minnesota won’t have much chance of competing with the best of the best in the NFC unless they have a healthy Jefferson on the field, which may be unlikely after today’s injury.
