After receiving a lot of hype as one of the most talented teams in the league heading into the 2023 NFL season, the Los Angeles Chargers were finally able to get their first win in Week 3, with Justin Herbert and company getting the best of the Minnesota Vikings on the road.
The Chargers had a tough start to the season with consecutive losses to the Miami Heat and Tennessee Titans, as Los Angeles lost in Week 1 by two and fell to the Titans in Week 2 by three.
Fortunately for the team, Herbert was able to help turn things around in another shootout, with the superstar quarterback putting up some big numbers.
According to StatMuse, Herbert threw for 405 yards and three touchdowns with 40 completions on 47 attempts, which is remarkable, to say the least.

The Chargers really needed a spark to get things going this season, and this win over the Vikings with Herbert playing at an MVP-caliber level may be precisely what’s needed to get back on track as a potential title contender in the AFC.
The next three weeks won’t get any easier for Herbert and company, with the team set to face the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders on Oct. 1, followed by matchups with the Kansas City Chiefs and Dallas Cowboys.
Needless to say, the Chargers will be put to the test to see if this team truly is the real deal in October.
