The biggest splash in Major League Baseball this offseason was made when the top free agent Juan Soto of the New York Yankees signed with the New York Mets.
Soto signed a deal worth $765 million over 15 years that sees him staying in the state of New York but switching from the American League to the National League.
In Soto’s first year with the Yankees in 2024, he led the team’s offense to a playoff run that resulted in a World Series loss.
After signing with the Mets, Soto made some shocking comments regarding his former teammates.
According to Yankees Videos on ‘X,’ Soto has not spoken with any of his Yankees teammates since the end of the World Series.

MLB fans expressed their reaction to Soto’s statement about not speaking with his former teammates since the end of the playoffs.
Very bad look for Soto because we know at the very least Judge has tried to reach out to him since then. Looks like the Mets are getting a real character guy in their clubhouse, hope he hates every moment of the next 15 years.

I guess it’s apart of business…

They probably don’t want to talk to him either

MLB fans appeared to take some offense to Soto’s statement, and they took to social media to share their thoughts.
The Mets will now have a superstar player who is an elite offensive weapon on their team for the next 15 years, but fans appear to question the character of Soto.
In Soto’s first year with the Yankees in 2024, he batted .288 with 41 home runs, 109 RBIs, and a .989 OPS.
While the numbers are great for Soto, MLB fans are not reacting positively to his comments.
Reactions to the Soto deal and these particular comments will vary, but one thing is for certain, when the Yankees and Mets meet in 2025, it will be must-watch television.
