This could be a very long season for the Arizona Cardinals.
Kyler Murray is set to miss at least the first half of the campaign, and they’ve lost plenty of talent in the offseason.
Moreover, the Kliff Kingsbury era has finally come to an end, and it’ll be up to Jonathan Gannon to lead the way going forward.
Notably, it doesn’t seem like Cardinals players are too excited to hear what their new coach has to say, as they looked quite uncomfortable in a clip from Cards Flight Plan shared by Adam Schefter.
Gannon tried to motivate his players by asking them if they had a fire in their gut.
That’s why some fans took to Twitter to mock Gannon after this rather awkward exchange.

The Cardinals will look to develop some talent this season, but barring a major surprise, there’s little chance they will compete.
Even if Murray comes back sooner than expected, which is a big if, there could be little incentive to rush him back into the fire if they get off to a slow start to the season.
There has also been plenty of speculation about the Cardinals looking to replace their franchise quarterback with USC star QB Caleb Williams, who’s projected to be the No. 1 pick in the upcoming NFL Draft.
Whether that’s the case or not, this doesn’t seem like a team that has a ‘fire in their gut.’NEXT: Fans Are Celebrating Iconic Cardinals WR Today
