The Pittsburgh Steelers made a massive change to their team when they fired former offensive coordinator Matt Canada prior to their Week 12 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Canada’s offense was bland and failed to produce many points, so head coach Mike Tomlin and the Steelers brass finally made the decision to cut him loose.
Pittsburgh elevated running backs coach Eddie Faulkner to interim offensive coordinator and his tenure got off to a good start as the offense looked much better against Cincinnati.
The Steelers recorded over 400 yards from scrimmage for the first time during the 2023 NFL season.
However, there were some hiccups along the way as running back Jaylen Warren fumbled the football and the Bengals recovered it.
During the play, cameras caught receiver Diontae Johnson seemingly walking away as Cincinnati ran the football back and fans roasted him via Bleacher Report.

In the clip, Warren fumbles the football and it’s scooped up by a Bengals defender and Johnson can be seen casually walking as if the play is over.
In his defense, he may have believed that the play was ruled dead but officials have done a better job of letting plays go and reviewing them afterward to see if they stand.
Johnson should’ve waited to hear the whistle blow before stopping, but unfortunately in this instance, he was caught zoning out.
