Damian Lillard likely expected to be with the Miami Heat by now.
When he made his trade demand weeks ago, most people thought that the process would move quickly and Lillard would be suited up alongside Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo when the new season began.
That obviously hasn’t happened and there is a chance that it never does, as the Portland Trail Blazers are in no rush to make a deal they don’t like.
Meanwhile, Lillard just released new music and has been sharing reactions on his social media accounts.
According to NBACentral, he reposted an image on Instagram from a fan that said: “Miami is waiting for you and your music.”
The fact that Lillard chose to share that picture and caption had many people talking.
Dame reposted this on IG 😅 pic.twitter.com/ZRIlxZf9U0

Some people are angry and tired of what they consider “passive-aggressive” comments from Lillard.
Nobody cares anymore about this passive aggressive nonsense

And others have grown frustrated by just how long this trade process is taking.
“How long are they going to drag this out for,” one user asked.
How long are they going to drag this out for 😭

Many others on Twitter said this is definitive proof that Lillard is going to be leaving Portland as soon as he can.
They see this post as evidence that there is no coming back to the Blazers.
He’s so gone

But some tried to keep their excitement in check because Lillard apparently reposted many images from fans, somewhat indiscriminately.
So, did this reposting really mean anything?
I wanna get hyped for this but Dame has been reposting all the stories 😭

Finally, some people said that this post won’t have any impact because Portland is refusing to play ball with Miami.
Unless the Blazers decide they want to work with the Heat, Lillard is going to be stuck in the Pacific Northwest for the foreseeable future.
He’s not getting traded .

At this point, anything that Lillard does or says is going to be watched closely by fans of the Heat, Blazers, and the rest of the NBA.
But will all the attention and speculation actually lead anywhere?
