Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James and his family received a terrible scare earlier this summer when Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest during a training session at USC.
Bronny was immediately rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where he was admitted to the ICU.
He was eventually able to come out of the unit once his condition stabilized and was later discharged.
Since then, Bronny has been resting and recovering from the incident though he was healthy enough to make an appearance with LeBron at a Drake concert recently.
After over a month, details of what caused Bronny to go into cardiac arrest have come out via Shams Charania of The Athletic and fans lent their support once the news broke.
Congenital heart defect was the cause of Bronny James’ cardiac arrest on July 24 and there is confidence he will make a full recovery and return to basketball in the very near future, per statement from James family spokesperson. pic.twitter.com/LLv4S9ro0x

It’s a scary situation for any athlete to suddenly collapse while playing, but especially for someone as young and talented as Bronny.
The good news is that the young star is on track to make a full recovery which means he should be able to suit up for the Trojans during his freshman year.
Basketball fans across the country surely can’t wait to see Bronny take the court again, but the priority is making sure he’s 100 percent healthy before doing so.
LeBron has been able to play in the NBA for such a long time because of how well he takes care of his body, so he will surely do the same with his son.
All in all, it’s great news to hear that Bronny is better and it’ll be exciting to see him make his college debut when he’s able to.
