The Miami Heat took on the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday night, hoping to take a 2-1 lead in the 2023 NBA Finals.
During the first period of the game, the Heat stayed close to the Nuggets, waiting for their chance to take over.
Everybody was on the same page, putting in a big effort to stop Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray and co., which they did to some extent.
Bam Adebayo played great and starred in one of the best plays of the game, making a put-back dunk on Jokic to send the fans at Kaseya Center into a frenzy.

On social media, other fans reacted to this big dunk, some hyping up the play and others saying it was nothing impressive as Jokic doesn’t play defense.

In the end, the Nuggets took over in the third quarter, sweeping the Heat off the floor and getting the 109-94 win to take the 2-1 lead.
Jokic became the first player to record a 30-point, 20-rebound, and 10-assist triple-double in Finals history.
Murray didn’t want to be left behind and posted a triple-double too, dropping 34 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists.
As for Adebayo, he scored 22 points, but it wasn’t enough to get past Denver.
Now the Nuggets recovered their home-court advantage and will try to put the Heat in a complex position in Game 4.
Adebayo was credited by Jimmy Butler as the reason the Heat would win the championship, but his impact on Game 3 was very little.
Game 4 is scheduled for this Friday, with the Nuggets ready to take another step toward the NBA championship.
