The New York Jets finally have their new head coach.
According to ESPN senior insider Adam Schefter, the Jets have chosen to hire former Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn to be their next head coach.
The Jets get one of the most popular names on the head-coaching market and will now look to solidify the general manager role.

There are plenty of fans who are excited to see Glenn return to the team that drafted him in the first round back in 1994.
Glenn would go on to make two Pro Bowls in eight years with the team and ended up having a 15-year NFL career.
There are other fans who don’t love the idea of the Jets hiring another first-time head coach with a defensive background.
The Jets have been down this road with the likes of Todd Bowles and Robert Saleh, and it did not end well.
Glenn will be looking to flip the script.
Finally, some fans think the Detroit Lions could be in trouble because they have now lost two prominent coordinators in former offensive coordinator Ben Johnson and Glenn.
Regardless of how this whole thing shakes out, the Jets have a fresh slate with Glenn now taking over this offseason.
One of his first tasks as head coach will be deciding whether or not he would like to keep future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
