This season hasn’t gone how most Miami Dolphins fans expected after making a playoff run last year, as the team is sitting at just 6-7 and fighting to make another postseason appearance now that they have won four of their last five games.
They are working their way back from a tough stretch over the middle of the season when quarterback Tua Tagovailoa went out with another concussion.
Still, even during this recent stretch, wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. hasn’t been able to generate any consistent production.
Because of that, the Dolphins and Beckham mutually agreed to part ways on Friday, and Beckham will now look to join a contender for the stretch run.

With all the injuries the Kansas City Chiefs have had to their wide receiver room this year, it wouldn’t be shocking to see OBJ wind up there.
Beckham had just nine catches for 55 yards with the Dolphins this year and hasn’t had more than 17 yards or three receptions in a game, which is a far cry from the production fans have been used to seeing from him over the years.
He hasn’t played enough to make it clear whether or not he has much left in the tank, but another team will likely give him a shot down the stretch to prove he can be a valuable contributor in the postseason.
He seemed like a great fit on paper with Miami as fans got excited about him serving as the WR3 alongside Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, but he never caught on.
Beckham is now 32 and will be looking for his sixth team.
