For years, NBA players have taken their talents to the one and only Rucker Park.
This legendary court in Harlem has seen some of the most talented hoopers on Earth, and that includes Kevin Durant.
As pointed out by Ball Is Life, today marks the 12th anniversary of Durant’s iconic performance at Rucker Park.
The then Oklahoma City Thunder superstar balled out with 66 points, just eight points shy of Joe “The Destroyer” Hammond’s record.
With that in mind, fans took to Twitter to react to this iconic performance, one of the best ever in Rucker Park history.
People are really going to miss KD when he retires. Assassin. 🥷

Say what you want – I personally didn’t like the move to GSW but you can’t deny this man @KDTrey5 talent – pure, solidified, unguardable bucket 🏀 – wish it wasn’t an era of super teams but it is what it is. Appreciate greatness 👏🏽

Some people seem to have forgotten how special young KD was. Back when he was considered one of the most likable players in the league by everyone lol

Back then, Durant was one of the most beloved and popular players in the league, and while he may not have the biggest fan base now, it’s safe to say that he’s still the same dominant walking bucket he was back then.
Not many players have been able to stay relevant for as long as Durant has, and you can tell that he’s actually in love with the game of basketball.
Once it’s all said and done, Durant will still have a lot of critics, which is kind of sad, considering how much he’s given to the game.
But not even his biggest critics will be able to deny that he’s one of the most talented and impactful players to ever lace them up, a future first-ballot Hall of Famer, and arguably the greatest pure scorer in the history of the game.
