Ben Simmons’ stint with the Philadelphia 76ers will go down in infamy.
He’s not exactly a fan favorite there, and he feels the same way about the organization.
That was evident on Sunday afternoon when he posted a petty Instagram story.
Ben Simmons posted this on his IG story 🤷♂️😬 pic.twitter.com/N848q90S7U

Simmons didn’t need to say anything; he just posted a pic of him watching the Boston Celtics beating the Sixers in Game 7, prompting countless hilarious reactions on social media.
This dude not serious😭😭😭 Me and Simmons have played the same minutes this post season😭😭

I don’t know if Ben Simmons is necessarily the WINNER of this situation lol

Would have been nice if he tuned into the @BrooklynNets series… or the Hawks series years ago as well.

One could argue that both parties were wrong in that Simmons-Sixers debacle.
Simmons did bail on them multiple times, yet still collected every single check despite not even suiting up for the organization.
At the end of the day, Simmons even recouped some of that money, but that just wasn’t enough; he had to get another last laugh and keep embracing that villain role in Philadephia.
Still, maybe it would’ve been even better if it wasn’t for the fact that Simmons hasn’t suited up for months and that the Sixers actually sent his team home with a first-round sweep in this year’s playoffs.
Notably, he wasn’t even on the court when that happened.
Simmons has won the petty war — thus far — but it’s not like he’ll have bragging rights until he proves he can beat the Sixers on the court, not on social media.
