The United States is widely known for having some of the best basketball players in the world.
While not every great player comes from the USA, they do have enough to build some talented national teams.
This offseason, Team USA was formed with some very good NBA players.
But, none of them would be considered superstars.
Team USA assistant coach Erik Spoelstra talked about how there are some “amazing basketball players on this team.”
According to The Athletic, Spoelstra said: “Anthony Edwards, that’s gonna be a household name, it already is.”
He also mentioned Jalen Brunson and Jaren Jackson Jr. as key players on the team.
A local journalist asked Spoelstra about the relative lack of star power on [Team USA]
“We have some amazing basketball players on this team. This is the future of the NBA; these are the future stars. Anthony Edwards, that’s gonna be a household name, it already is” – @CoachSpo https://t.co/vM00DRMFNW pic.twitter.com/I4pODHtRPD

Team USA is set to compete in the FIBA Basketball World Cup, which begins this weekend.
Many talented players in the NBA are playing for their respective countries in this tournament.
But, all eyes will be on Team USA.
The NBA is the best league in the world and the United States wants to show they have the best team in the world as well.
Outside of the aforementioned players, Team USA also has Mikal Bridges, Tyrese Haliburton, and Austin Reaves.
Haliburton was an NBA All-Star last season while Bridges and Reaves had career years.
Even though there may not be any household names on Team USA, they have enough talent to win the World Cup.
It will be fun to watch the World Cup and see all these NBA players join up to represent their country.
