For years, people around NFL circles loved to compare Eli and Peyton Manning, cutting jokes about how odd it was for the younger and less talented brother to have more rings than Peyton, a first-ballot Hall of Famer.
Peyton was one of the most dominant forces in the league, at least during the regular season, but he constantly fell short of the goal in the earlier stages of his career.
Eli, on the other hand, was fairly unimpressive, yet had two of the most memorable playoff runs in NFL history, taking down Tom Brady and the New England Patriots twice.
So, now that they’re both retired, the Mannings have joined forces to provide some much-needed insight into the NFL industry with their alternate ‘ManningCast’ broadcast, a massive success since it debuted last season.
And perhaps one of the biggest reasons behind their success has been how much and often they roast each other, which was again at full display during the latest edition of The Dan Patrick Show.
There, Eli talked about how he’s going to beat Peyton in the upcoming Pro Bowl, stating that his NFC would beat his brother’s AFC because he’s just a terrible coach:
“I expect the NFC to win,” Eli said. “Peyton’s a terrible coach. We all know that. Good player, bad coach, so I think we’re at a major advantage.”
"Peyton's a terrible coach, we all know that."

The league shook off the Pro Bowl format with a flag football game to try and gauge more audience, as ratings have plummeted over the past decade due to the game’s non-existent competitiveness and entertainment.
So, having two Hall of Famer brothers facing off and taking jabs at each other might as well be just what we needed to actually want and tune in to these games.
