The Philadelphia Eagles have plenty of needs to fill in the 2021 offseason.
Some of those needs are in the secondary.
According to Justin Melo, the Eagles recently had a virtual meeting with defensive back Tay Gowan.
I really enjoy watching UCF's secondary on tape. Lots of hype for Robinson & Grant, but a third player, Tay Gowan also impressed me on tape w/ his length on the outside.
Gowan has met/will meet virtually with #Eagles, #Falcons, #Titans, #Jaguars & #Rams to name a few.

Gowan was part of a very talented secondary at UCF that included players like Aaron Robinson and Richie Grant.
Both of them are expected to be picked in the early rounds of the 2021 NFL draft.
However, Gowan still stood out on the field.
In 2019 he only allowed 2 touchdowns in 425 coverage snaps and had 7 passes defended.
In 9 of his 12 games, he allowed 25 yards or fewer.

He did not play in 2020 he said because of his concern for his daughter’s health.

“I’m a father first to a beautiful baby girl who was born prematurely with health problems,” Gowan posted on Twitter. “I have also tested positive for COVID in the past and I will not put my daughters health at risk again.
“Her health is important, my health is important.”
“I’ve came to the toughest decision in my life as a man and I have to stand on what I believe is right. I love this game with all my heart and never thought I’d have to make this decision. With that being said I WILL BE ENTERING MY NAME IN THE 2021 DRAFT!!! #23OUT #GowanIsland,” he wrote.
Gowan will most likely be a mid to late-round pick, but some analysts have him projected a bit higher.
For example, PFF’s MIchael Renner has Gowan as his 51st ranked player on his board.
While Pro Football Network’s Tony Pauline has Gowan ranked as an undrafted prospect.
