The Philadelphia Eagles are building their roster on both sides of the ball.
They have traded for A.J. Brown to improve their receiving corps, which already has DeVonta Smith and Quez Watkins.
On defense, they also signed linebacker Haason Reddick to improve their pass rush.
Their 2022 draft class could also be a great one with Jordan Davis, Cam Jurgens, and Nakobe Dean.
More importantly, they’ve stockpiled additional picks for the 2023 draft to keep on upgrading the team.
Meanwhile, the Eagles will have an opportunity to see how their new additions will fare against a favorable Week 1 opponent.

The Lions finished with a 3-13-1 record last season, which is worse than their 5-11 mark a year earlier.
They are hoping that rookies Jameson Williams and Aidan Hutchison can make an immediate impact.
But without much changes on their roster, the Lions are still miles away from contention.
Eagles Looking For Another Postseason Berth
In contrast, the Eagles made the playoffs last season and are poised to make a return.
Brown, Smith, and Watkins gives them a solid receiving trio.
Likewise, their ground game with Miles Sanders, Boston Scott, and Kenneth Gainwell is one of the NFL’s best.
Aside from their starters, the Eagles hope that Davis and Dean will bring the same tenacity they had with the Georgia Bulldogs.
Lions quarterback Jared Goff could be in for a long night if the Eagles’ defense can disrupt the pocket.
He must also be cautious in throwing the ball against Philadelphia because of Darius Slay.
