The Philadelphia Eagles have continued their dominant nature throughout the entirety of the 2022 season on both sides of the ball.
Even though they have had one of the league’s best offenses, their defense has been the biggest contributing factor en route to their 13-3 record.
The Eagles are the first team to have four players record 10+ sacks in a season since sacks were first tracked in 1982.

The Eagles’ defense is currently allowing just 20.5 points per game, the ninth-best mark in the league.
What’s even more impressive than their point total, is the number of sacks that they have amassed this season, with 68.
The next-best team (New England Patriots) has a total of 52 sacks, demonstrating just how extraordinary this team has been at getting home to the quarterback.
Hasson Reddick, Javon Hargrave, Josh Sweat, and Brandon Graham all have over ten sacks, putting the four of them in the top ten for sack leaders across the league this season.
With a defensive front as staunch as the Eagles, they have the makings of a team that could make it pretty far in this year’s playoffs.
However, their quarterback, Jalen Hurts, has had his health called into question as of late, sitting out the last two contests.
If Hurts is unable to suit up for the Eagles in the playoffs, the team will likely have to turn to Gardner Minshew, who has led the team to back-to-back losses.
For the Eagles’ sake, let’s hope that Hurts will be back to his normal MVP-caliber abilities, and lead the team to a deep playoff run.
Although this is a well-rounded team, they need Hurts’ leadership back on the field if they want any chances in the postseason.
