Two years ago, the Philadelphia Eagles suffered a heartbreaking loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl after they held a lead at halftime.
Now, the Eagles have their chance at redemption when they meet the Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX, and if they have one thing going for them, it is the fact that their roster is arguably better now than it was in the prior meeting.
Eagles safeties coach Joe Kasper recently made a bold statement about what he would do to guarantee a victory this time around.
“I’ll gladly cut off a finger if that’s what it takes. A finger or a toe. … I can part ways with my ring finger,” Kasper said, via Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network.

If nothing else, the one thing the Eagles are better at now compared to two years ago is their running game, as Saquon Barkley is having a season to remember.
He became the ninth running back in NFL history to reach 2,000 rushing yards in a regular season, and he could be the deciding factor that puts them over the top.
Many seem to agree that the Eagles have a better roster than the Chiefs, but Kansas City arguably has the best quarterback in the game in Patrick Mahomes and an outstanding head coach in Andy Reid, not to mention a brilliant tactician in defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo.
In addition, Kansas City has shown an uncanny ability to consistently win close games one way or another.
The Eagles defense, which has been one of the stingiest in the NFL, will need to put forth an incredible effort to bring home the championship.
