Some people wonder why Andre Iguodala is still playing for the Golden State Warriors but it looks like Dwyane Wade has an answer.
It’s true that Iguodala doesn’t play nearly as much as he gets older and he physically cannot perform like he once did.
But he brings something to the Warriors’ bench that improves their chances throughout the season and especially right now in the NBA Finals.

Wade retweeted a video of Iguodala on the sidelines of Wednesday night’s Game 3 against the Boston Celtics.
In the video, Andrew Wiggins comes to the bench, where Iguodala coaches him and instructs him, and possibly even critiques him in a very animated fashion.
For his part, Wiggins seems to be listening intently.
Wade posted a caption: “Veterans are important. Leadership!”
He has a point: Iguodala is bringing his expertise and knowledge to the younger players on the team and he is guiding them to their full potential.
Iggy In Charge
Watching the video above, you can totally imagine Iguodala becoming a head coach for a team when he retires.
In fact, multiple people have speculated if he would take such a position once he retires from playing.
Even if he doesn’t, it’s obvious that Iguodala is a skilled coach who has spent many years learning a lot in the league and is now imparting that wisdom to others.
There is a reason why so many young players in the league respect guys like LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Rajon Rondo, Iguodala, and more – and it’s not just because they’re all great athletes.
These guys are the ones who know what it takes to go all the way, and they’re ready to teach any player willing to listen.
