Dwyane Wade is considered royalty to the Miami Heat and is one of the team’s most important players of all time.
He spent many years with them and achieved great things but there was a time when he almost departed from the Heat after just seven seasons with them.
Speaking on “The OGs Show”, Wade said he nearly left the Heat for his hometown team, the Chicago Bulls.
This was in the late 2000s and could have marked a massive change in his career.
He was ready to move on and find success with the Bulls but then Wade received a phone call from none other than LeBron James.
Dwyane Wade was almost headed to Chicago, then Lebron made the call ?

Once Wade got that call from James, he was convinced to remain in Miami and see what he could do with the new lineup.
Of course, it wasn’t just James coming down to Miami, as Chris Bosh signed with the team too.
Together, these three players would build a massively powerful team that would win two championships and run the league for a number of years.
But it almost didn’t happen because Wade was thinking about an exit.
In the end, Wade did eventually get to play for the Bulls, albeit briefly in 2016-17.
That was years after his championship runs with the Heat and as he got closer to retirement.
He ultimately hung up his jersey with the Heat and is now the first player to receive a statue celebrating him outside their arena.
His place in team history is secure and that’s mostly because he chose to stay with Miami when James gave him a call.
