Former NBA star Dwight Howard just faced a very humbling moment but at least he was able to have fun with it.
A few days ago, Twitter user L Dubb posted a picture she took with Howard outside of an event.
The caption read: “Omg I got to meet @KDTrey5 last night! He was so nice!”
That is the Twitter handle of Kevin Durant, proving that the user made a crucial mistake about who she was taking a picture with.
To his credit, Howard took it in stride.
He retweeted the image and said, “I’m Rick James not KD.”

It’s good that Howard can see the humor in the situation because some celebrities wouldn’t have reacted the same way.
But Howard has actually had a pretty good sense of humor for a few years now.
In tweets and interviews, he has seemed rather laid back and carefree, always ready to fire off a joke.
That is somewhat surprising because, for a stretch of his career, he seemed very serious.
During his time with the Orlando Magic and then the Los Angeles Lakers, it looked like Howard didn’t have a lot of room for humor in his life.
There were rumors of him being hard to get along with and he had conflict with certain teammates, including Kobe Bryant.
But times have changed and the eight-time All-Star and five-time rebounding champion has turned a page and started a new chapter in his life.
He definitely started a new chapter in his career.
After leaving the NBA, Howard made a name for himself playing basketball in Taiwan.
He instantly became a huge presence in the Taiwanese league although he has suggested that he’d be open to a return to the NBA.
If he did return, he’d likely face fewer fans who were confused about his identity.NEXT: Video Shows Devin Booker Dominating Recent Pickup Game
