The Miami Heat seem to be waiting in the weeds waiting for the right moment to strike as they continue to go through the motions during the 2023-24 NBA season.
The Heat have gone 5-5 in their past 10 games and currently sit in eighth in the Eastern Conference, not quite the position most thought they would be in considering their championship contender status.
Miami has earned the benefit of the doubt under head coach Erik Spoelstra as the team always saves its best basketball for the postseason.
Although the Heat will likely need to earn their playoff spot, it would be a massive shock if they somehow lost two Play-In Tournament games.
Offensively, Miami remains a slow-paced team that thrives on ball and man movement but they’ve gotten strong play from Duncan Robinson this year.
In the Heat’s most recent game against the Detroit Pistons, Robinson made history by becoming the fastest player to drain 1,000 3-pointers, via NBA History.
“Duncan Robinson is the fastest to 1,000 3-pointers in NBA history at 343 games, passing Buddy Hield at 350 games.”

A former undrafted free agent, Robinson made Miami’s 15-man roster because of his sharpshooting and he’s only gotten more deadly each and every season since coming into the league.
On the season, Robinson is shooting 40.1 percent from beyond the arc on 7.1 attempts, massive volume for the guard.
Robinson is able to rifle off screens and get into his shooting motion.
Spacing is paramount to NBA offenses, and Miami is fortunate to have someone like Robinson to knock down open threes.
